This challenge honors the legacy of Elizabeth Frankel, one of the Young Center’s first and most dedicated Child Advocates, whose commitment to immigrant children continues to inspire our work today. Her example reminds us that each of us has the power to be a Waymaker—to walk with a child and their family on their journey to safety.

We’re logging 25,000 miles: 1 mile for roughly a quarter of 100,000 children separated from their loved ones in the United States. Every mile logged and every dollar raised is a powerful way to show up and take a step in solidarity with immigrant children, families, and communities.
As part of this movement, we’re asking every Waymaker to raise $198 alongside their friends, family, and communities in solidarity with immigrant children and families. Every step and every dollar helps move us closer to a future where no child’s journey includes confinement.
