Jess Wood (she/they) is an institutional fundraising leader with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector. Prior to working in development, Jess worked as a social worker and program director in a variety of programs supporting youth experiencing homelessness, including as a Case Manager for youth who had experienced commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. Most recently, they worked as the Senior Director of Institutional Giving for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, where they supported both government and foundation giving, amounting to more than $25 million secured annually. They hold a B.A. in English Writing from Millikin University and a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from Seattle University. In their free time, Jess enjoys spending time with their two dogs, Cubbie Bear and Anya, and reading horror fiction.
